Manhunt for Joburg park murder, rape suspects
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Gauteng police have dispatched a special task team to search for a gang of 12 men involved in the murder of two men and rape of a woman in Rhodes Park in Johannesburg at the weekend.

It’s alleged the suspects tied the husbands up at gunpoint before throwing them into a dam at the park, forcing their wives to watch the harrowing ordeal.
One woman managed to run away and call for help. The other woman was brutally gang raped.
Police divers retrieved the men’s bodies hours later.
Spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says they’re working around the clock to catch the perpetrators.
"We are appealing to anyone who might have information to come forward but there are several leads that the police are also following," he said.
