Passenger @ Botanic Gardens
After years of busking and singing in pubs, Passenger’s hit track Let Her Go became one of only four million-selling singles in the UK and he was nominated for a Brit Award. He now plays to sold-out shows all over the world. And especially for this Valentines Day what better place to see him? Under the stars in our beautiful Botanic Gardens. Durban Boy, Ard Matthews will be his supporting artist and gates open at 3pm. Bring your picnic kits, your Valentine and get set for a romantic evening together. AV Skateboarding: Issue 25 @ The Winston
If getting cuddles under the stars isn’t what you going for then head down to The Winston Pub for something a little more edgy. AV Skateboarding Video Magazine are showing off the Issue 25 with some Durban skaters featuring in as well as on the DJ decks. Khan @ Botanic Gardens
It’s a busy weekend for The Durban Botanic Gardens because on Saturday night (14 Feb). Khan Morbee, from the platinum selling South African band Parlotones will be performing a special something with the Durban City Orchestra for us romantics on the east coast. Tickets start at R60. Girls Pop-Up @ The Design Factory
This one goes out to all the ladies in the house. Durban designer clothes, macaroons, cupcakes, pizzas, wine and more. This little Pop-Up Shop runs on Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 1pm. You’ll find it the at The Design Factory at the fourth floor of Open Plan Studio, 37 Station Drive. I pinky swear this is something you definitely don’t want to miss. The Theatre of Dreams troops are still in full swing here in the 031. If you haven’t booked your tickets yet, you might have already missed out, as they are famous for their sell out shows. But, there are always cancellations so no harm in scouring through Gumtree to see if anyone needs to get rid of some, Now that would be a true Valentine’s Day special.
Valentine’s Day Dinner and Golf @ Selbourne Estate
Selborne Park Golf Estate will be hosting a spectacular three-course dinner – prepared with love by Chef Lawrence. Dinner begins at 8pm and will be accompanied with live music courtesy of the talented James Ellis.
