Thursday November 7:

“My Summer With Jane” Pop-Up shop is on the go at The Factory café. Jane Sews is a quirky South African designer who will be displaying and selling her Summer 2013 collection.

Expect classic tailored pants for the ultimate hipster with leather sandals and matching sling bags. There’s talk of complimentary gift bags, good vibes and snacks. Find out more about the Pop-Up Shop here.

Pop-Up Shops are the places to be as the notorious yet loveable professional surfer iAMWOK is launching his very own t-shirt range at Taco Zulu at 6pm. The collection is small but there are men’s and ladies tees. He has been kind enough to give me one already. Units are small so be sure to get down there to get your paws on one.

Carpe Durban @ The Winston. The cool kids are definitely going to kill me for sharing this event but it’s that good I couldn’t help it. If you’re up for Friday morning hangover then make your way to the Winston. Ian Ewok Robinson will be on the mic with some fresh material so it should be fun. They are going real hip-hop, Snoop Dogg vibes no Snoop Lion, which are ALWAYS the best kind of parties.

Friday November 8:

Last weekend Pascal & Pearce rocked the house at Tokio Nightclub and this weekend is set to be another banger. Tokio re-launched last weekend after a small hibernation and this weekend it’s all about homegrown talent. The Homegrown Heroes is a party to celebrate all our beloved local dj’s. My absolute fav Funk G and the gang will be on their new hip-hop dance floor taking us back to the old Tilt days. The boys at Tokio have agreed to give two special peeps VIP treatment and a bar tab for the evening.  If you think this should be you, mail me at [email protected]. Tune in to Abi Ray’s The Pulse on Thursday night at 6:30pm for more details.

If all of this party talk is sending you into a hot flush then perhaps you need to book at Jimmy Killer Prawns Gateway. They are offering a five-course meal with promise of a mini fashion show. To book yourself into this indulgent night out call 031 566 1857 or visit the Gateway website

The Hinds Bros: Having recently released their debut album 'Ocean of Milk' to much critical acclaim, The Hinds Brothers will perform an exclusive ‘Songwriters' set at one of Durban's most intimate and well-loved venues, St Clements. It will set you back R60. For bookings call 031 202 2511
