The East Coast Radio Fugitive has been found! And Deanne Pillay is R54 000 richer after tracking him down at Sugar Rush Park in Ballito.
Congratulations, Deanne! 🎉
After days of clues, theories, sightings and plenty of speculation across KZN, we finally have our first Fugitive winner.
And while the Fugitive himself may not be too happy about being caught, Deanne is celebrating a massive R54 000 win!

One question changed everything
Tracking down the East Coast Radio Fugitive was no easy task.
Listeners were calling the station with their theories and possible sightings, trying to piece together the clues and work out where he could be hiding.
But while many were searching from a distance, one brave listener decided to take matters into her own hands.
When Deanne spotted a suspicious stranger at Sugar Rush Park in Ballito, she walked straight up to him and asked the question everyone had been waiting to ask: “Are you the East Coast Radio Fugitive?”
And she was right!

Then the chase was on!
What followed was exactly the kind of Fugitive chaos we’ve come to expect.
There was running, screaming and a whole lot of celebrating as Deanne Pillay from Tongaat successfully caught the Fugitive and secured her R54 000 bounty.
The Fugitive might have been trying to stay one step ahead of KZN, but Deanne wasn’t fooled.
Congratulations, Deanne! What a way to win R54 000!
And to everyone else who joined the hunt, called in with clues, shared sightings and followed along — thank you for being part of the chase.
But don't get too comfortable...
The East Coast Radio Fugitive will be back.
So KZN, stay close to your radio, keep your eyes open and be ready for the next clue.
Because you never know when the Fugitive might be hiding right around the corner.
Could you be the next person to catch him?
