R30 000 won! Ludfia Munsamy finds the East Coast Radio Fugitive at the Rising Sun
Updated | By East Coast Radio
After a hot day of clues, twists, turns and plenty of “come and chat” hints, we have our winner!
Congratulations to Ludfia Munsamy from Chatsworth, who found the East Coast Radio Fugitive at the Rising Sun and walked away with R30 000!
It started with a chat
The Fugitive kicked off the morning with a bounty of R6 000 and a cryptic clue: “I am worth R6 000. When you see me, come and CHAT.”
That little word CHAT turned out to be an important part of the day's puzzle. He told listeners he had given them the exact location where he would be spending the day — and promised to “chat later.”
Then he was at the CENTRE of everything
During Carol's show, the Fugitive revealed that plenty of people were already on his trail.
He was almost caught by an aunty, but managed to escape once again.
He reminded everyone that there is only one phrase that counts when you think you've found him: “Are you the East Coast Radio Fugitive?”
Then came another big clue: “Forget being the centre of attention… I’m at the CENTRE of everything today.”
The bounty jumped to R9 000, then R20 000 and finally R30 000, and KZN had another piece of the puzzle to work out.
And then came the headlines
The Fugitive wasn't finished with the wordplay.
He told listeners: “I’m not making headlines, so I’ve come to the place in Chatsworth where they write the headlines.”
And then he gave us the headline: FUGITIVE NOW WORTH R30K
He added another clue: “Where the Sun never sets here. The place that makes all the headlines.”
The clues were pointing towards Chatsworth, and eventually one lucky hunter worked out exactly where to go.
The Fugitive Rises at the Rising Sun
After a day of tracking the clues, Ludfia Munsamy from Chatsworth found the East Coast Radio Fugitive at the Rising Sun office.
And just like that, the R30 000 bounty was won!
What a day it was — from CHAT, to CENTRE, to headlines, and finally to the Rising Sun.
The Fugitive may have spent the day trying to stay one step ahead of KZN, but this time, Ludfia was one step ahead of him.
Congratulations, Ludfia!
And to everyone who joined the hunt today, followed the clues and tried to track him down — thank you for playing.
The East Coast Radio Fugitive has been caught, but something tells us this won't be the last time you hear from him.
