Alicia Keys says NO to make-up

If you take a look at Alicia Keys' Instagram, you will see her new hashtag campaign #nomakeup.

Alicia has proudly stopped wearing make-up, including during performances and photoshoots.

She recently wrote an essay for Lenny Letter explaining her decision to quit foundation and mascara, and in it she says “To fit in or be thought of as beautiful, you have to cober up to be a bit closer to perfect.

"Every time I left the house, I would be worried if I didn’t put on makeup : What if someone wanted a picture? What if they posted it?”

I think Mrs Swizz Beats looks absolutely amazing with and without make-up and I hope this campaign helps more people feel comfortable in their own skin versus what the media tells us is perfection!
