Sometimes the heroes of this world make their debut on social media...

Going out to the restaurant for a meal is a treat for many people. But most of the time there is a different level of meaning attached to it. Where some customers want the restaurant to go all out for them and give them a well-rounded experience, others don't really care.

But for those that make the effort to share feedback with the restaurant, there is obviously some sense of control exerted. For instance, this person decided to share their very candid feedback on the Facebook page of a steakhouse in Texas, USA.

Let's just say the posted comment was nothing short of discriminatory. As much as social media is used as a customer service tool, it is definitely not a platform that should be used to bully others.

The post read: "I will not be back if boys look like women with nails painted and are serving people. Seriously." (Reddit)

Firstly, not only is this inappropriate behaviour, it is transphobic, and being discriminatory to any person because of their sexuality, their religion, race or beliefs, is not acceptable.

But sometimes standing up to these bullies can be intimidating...

And as much as it is difficult and can be intimidating, we admire those people that are able to stand up for what they believe in. This was one such case, as the restaurant responded in such a great way.

Their response read: "At....steakhouse, we support our staff 100%. No matter their religion, race, criminal history, or sexuality; I don't judge. I choose to provide an opportunity of employment for everyone. If this offends you then please stay at home. After all if you could cook Debbie, then maybe Scott wouldn't be looking at his server all night." (Reddit)

The person who shared the post to Reddit ensured that this was a legitimate occurrence. Many people came to the post sharing their experience with customers that say they are never coming back, and we found it quite hilarious and consistent.

Whatever the reason behind her posting it on their Facebook page, the fact that the restaurant shut her comment down, shows that sometimes you do hold the control as to who you choose to surround yourself with.

In this case, the restaurant was fearful of her threats but merely stood their ground in terms of their belief system. And it really showed character, standing up for your beliefs will always determine the bold from the weak.
