Kyle Desai's latest music video leaves Durbanite's beaming with pride
Kyle Desai, our very own Durbanite, has released his music video for his single, 'Durban' and we can't help feeling even prouder to be a Durbanite.
Kyle Desai is a passionate young man from Lotus Park, Isipingo and when we previously covered a story about his musical journey, we had the honour of learning that he is an incredibly kind, respectful and honest human being - all the makings of a bright future.
We love his thriving energy; he knows what he wants and he is not letting anything stop him from getting where he wants to go and what he wants to achieve. His single, 'Durban' was aired on Gordan Graham's "Play Local on Sunday's" and was followed up with some extra love on Vic Naidoo's show.
The song audio was released on all digital and social media platforms on April 16. My inspiration was drawn from the memories of my childhood growing up in Durban. It’s a song story that will transport you on a journey reminiscent of my childhood experiences, and is also a representation of the city’s diverse culture and it’s dynamic people,”- said Desai, professionally known as 'KD'.
After the recent unrest in KZN and all the damage, he stood up and used his music as a way of spreading love and healing for our beautiful city and, most of all, its people.
I’ve always dreamt of shooting the perfect music video, that won’t only showcase me, but also Durban and its beauty. A video that will remind us of the better times, when families came together to admire the city, a time of unity and love not only for each other, but a shared love for Durban. He added that he hoped his video would continue to educate, inspire and motivate.
