Have you ever been 'unfriended' on Facebook? Here's how to check...

Being unfriended in real life can be painful, but somehow it's more hurtful when it's been done to you on a social media platform...

Have you ever been unfriended on Facebook?

Being unfriended can be an emotional experience; the ups and downs when it comes to facing the truth, and the awkwardness when it comes to facing that friend again. It can be quite unpleasant.

So when it comes to engaging on social media, the hurt shouldn't be so bad, right? Wrong. For some reason, it somehow burns more when you find out that you have been unfriended in the online sphere.

The question that follows though is, do you want to or care to know that you have been unfriended on Facebook?

According to Metro, there are a few ways to find out if you have been unfriended if that friend from high school boldly clicked that 'Unfriend' button and let go of your morning motivational posts or those posts of your puppy's graduation photos from doggy school.

You can open up your Messenger app, and search for the suspect who you think has 'unfriended' you. "If they’re still on Facebook and haven’t blocked you, their profile picture and name will appear under the ‘More People’ heading."

"If you still have the option to message someone you’re no longer friends with, you haven’t been blocked, but unfriended." (Metro)

However, don't push too much with this one as it could be that they have just left Facebook.

And the other method is, believe it or not, an app that you can download called, Who Deleted Me, which keeps track of your Facebook friends list and also sends out notifications to let you know if anyone has unfriended you.

So there you have it, some ways to find out if you have been unfriended.

There's this sense of not wanting to know in reality and then there's this feeling of rejection when you are engaging on social media platforms. Perhaps it is in connection with the public display on your profile that shows how many friends/followers you have, whatever it is, it shouldn't be the driving force of your time online.
