Back in 2001, at the age of 19, Quiana Cohn, from Illinois, USA, decided that she would continue pursuing her dream of completing her master's degree and becoming a social worker before her daughter India would graduate high school.

By the time Cohn started working towards an associate's degree in childhood education at community college, India was in preschool and she also had two more young children to take care of.

She was determined to show her kids that no matter what the obstacle, they could conquer it and they could overcome anything.

She would drop her kids off at school and day-care, go to class, and work part-time every day.

By 2009 she had obtained her associate's degree, followed by her bachelor's degree in 2019 and finally completing her master's degree in social work in 2020.

Cohn says she wanted to be able to help other young moms and families, and she now works in a behavioural health facility, managing patient care.

Although Cohn and her daughter were not able to attend their respective graduation ceremonies because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they got together with a photographer and took their graduation pictures together.

India is very proud of her mother and says she will be following in her mother's footsteps by also studying to become a social worker.

May these inspirational women serve as a reminder that no dream is too big!
