Court papers have revealed what axed Idols judge Gareth Cliff earns. This is what Zaba has to say about his salary package.
Gareth earns a package fee of R356 160 to judge 10 sessions of Idols.
When I first saw these figures, I thought to myself, “Sheesh, I really thought he earned a whole lot more”.
In my head, I thought Gareth was earning close to a million.
When you consider all the press shoots, and interviews and auditions he has to go through, I really would have thought MNet wouldn’t be so stingy with his salary.
Gareth is suing MNet for R25 million, R5 million for defamation of character and R20 million for damages resulting from his contract being ended.
If Gareth wins this case, he could basically say “Idols, you can kiss my rich behind”
