Firefighters work tirelessly to free pet dog stuck on escalator
Updated | By Damon Beard
One of the worst nightmares for a pet owner recently came true in China, and it has come as a warning for many around the world.
You know how you always hear of people getting caught in escalators, or they suddenly stop, and people go hurtling forward? This time it’s a little pooch that got its feet stuck in a small gap on an escalator in China.
Daily Mail reports that the dog was walking up the escalator behind its owners when it’s back legs got stuck in the tiny space at the top of the escalator.

Okay, so the first thing that went through my mind when reading this story was: why was the dog behind the owners? Usually, if a dog is on a leash or walking with its owners, shouldn't it be in front of them?
Thankfully, the quick-thinking owner pushed the emergency stop button and firefighters rushed to the scene to free the little dog.
The sad thing is that the little pooch ended up losing six out of eight toes on its hind legs. But at least it got free.
