Bottled horse droppings go on sale for over R2,000 each
Updated | By Thandolwethu
What is the most useless thing you've ever spent money on? This probably has to be the silliest thing that is currently on sale?!
I've purchased some strange things in the past but after reading this, I'm shocked.
I came across an article which stated that droppings from the 1997 winning Kentucky Derby horse, Silver Charm, are currently on sale and are worth $200 a bottle. Yes, That's over R2,000 for horse droppings. Urgh.
I actually thought it was a prank at first, but as I read more, it seems like there is a market for this. The "Derby Turds", as they are called, were 'harvested' by Coleman Larkin, and sales from it will go towards a retirement facility for thoroughbred horses.

The droppings come in a mason jar, taped with a label on it.
I've bought many strange things in my life, but horse fanatic or not, I'm sure how I feel about this.
