The campaign has decided to join forces with the incredible Ndlovu Youth Choir and use their song, 'We Will Rise', as the inspiration for this challenge.

In case you didn't know, 2020 has officially been declared the 'Year of the Nurse and Midwife' by the World Health organisation in recognition of 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale (on the 12th of May).

The COVID-19 pandemic has also highlighted the absolute need for nurses on a daily basis and how incredibly selfless their work is.

The founder of the Exceptional Nurses Campaign, Sister Teresa Basson, said that from the moment she heard 'We Will Rise', she knew that they needed to use this song to uplift the spirits of South Africans, but especially the nurses.

Follow these easy steps to be a part of the challenge:

  1. Get your moves just right, grab your team, and dance your heart out!
  2. Head over to the 'Exceptional Nurses' Facebook page, post your video, and nominate two other hospitals to do the same.

You could even win some really nice prizes. You can find more information here.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter if you win or lose, but how South Africans have once again come together.
