A warning for KZN residents: A large male lion is on the loose in Dundee

We all love going to watch animals in a safe environment, but the second we hear that they're on the loose, things change very quickly...

Lion

Getaway has reported that Dundee residents need to be on the lookout for a male lion that is currently on the loose. It's alleged that the lion in question has escaped from a nearby game reserve.

According to The South African, this lion has already killed a calf and attempted to kill another one.

A search team was selected on Tuesday to help find the predator by the Nambiti Private Game Reserve. As of now, no game reserve has come out to claim the lion as theirs and the search for it continues.

If you're from Dundee, be careful. Don't walk in bushy areas and do not walk alone. Individuals who happen to spot the lion are urged to contact Warrant Officer Khumalo at the Dundee Police Station urgently. Residents can call the station on 034 299 9755 or visit them at 75 Gladstone St, Dundee.
