#UnpopularOpinion: 'You shouldn't get your college money if you don't choose to go to college'
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Mom and dad have saved up for you to get an education. You opt against that. So who should the fund go to? That's the question we're asking on this week's #UnpopularOpinion.
Listen to KZN discussing the topic, or read below:
"Dear Stacey,
I've met a few people who believe that college should be partially covered by your parents. I don't understand this at all.
College is expensive and if you can do it as a parent, that'd be really cool. However, I've seen a few posts by new adults annoyed that their parents aren't giving them college money or that their parents won't give them their college savings account if they don't go to college.
By the time you have to go to college, you are 18 and you’re an adult so you aren't owed a higher education or their money.
