Let's zoom in on the Twitter exchange between Penny Lebyane and Boy Mamabolo about GBV
Updated | By ECR
Is it safe to say that Twitter has become that corner of the street where people set each other straight?

Whether you like watching the State of the Nation Address (SONA) and its subsequent debate or not, we can all agree that whatever is discussed in that room affects us in KZN, and some of the things being discussed can leave a sour taste.
Let us give you some background of where this started. EFF leader Julius Malema was responding to President Cyril Ramaphosa's SONA speech during Tuesday's debate when Mamabolo stood on a point of order and then directly asked the EFF leader to confirm or deny allegations that he physically abused his wife. This particular comment left a sour taste in Penny Lebyane's mouth and prompted her to take to Twitter to let everyone knows how she felt.
The media personality came down hard on ANC MP Boy Mamabolo for leveling abuse allegations against Malema in the name of gender-based violence (GBV).
Penny got very vocal on Twitter about what she called "The Stunt" pulled in parliament. See Penny's Twitter post here:
President ugezeleke ngenxa yakho wena...So #Whatever🙄🖐🏼#TalkToTheHand

Some people thought Penny's account was hacked, because she's usually not as vocal on Twitter about political issues:
Hacked account ka Sis Penny guyz. Yuuuh la "kaka yomntu" ngowase New Brighton P.E

Kopano had this to say:
@BoyMamabolo you touch women, you provoke the entire nation sannie. pic.twitter.com/6CryjOYjOM

According to an article published by Times Live, an apology from Mamabolo to Julius and his wife, Mantoa Matlala, over his "insensitive" abuse claims has been made.
