After chatting with the biological father of the four-year-old child who was abused by her mother on camera, Jane sat down with Clinical Psychologist Julia Green to get her opinion on the matter.

On Tuesday, I spoke out for the first time about the incident of the four-year-old Durban child who was physically assaulted by her mother. The incident was recorded by the mom's boyfriend. This story is too tragic for words.

The video has popped up all across social media and as South Africans we are all enraged and cannot begin to imagine what this child has had to go through. The two face charges of attempted murder. The couple is due in court next month and the child now faces a long road to recovery. 

Trying to comprehend how a little person will ever recover from such a traumatic ordeal is hard.

My thoughts and prayers are with her as she recovers both physically and emotionally.
