What it means to ‘woo’ someone in 2020

The
Oxford Dictionary describes ‘wooing’ as when someone tries to gain the love of someone, especially with a view to marriage.
Now, we have all watched our favorite rom coms where boy seeks girl, boy tries various ways in order to win girl's heart. From elaborate dates, thoughtful gestures, and some admittedly unrealistic lengths in efforts to get the exclusive title.
This narrative has been formed in our worldly view for years, but it seems times are changing. With this new age world that we are currently living in, where one can fall in love with someone before even meeting them face to face, the traditional route of ‘wooing’ has had an upgrade. The question though is, is this way better or should we take it back to the old school way of doing things?
Remember when you would pen a letter using a pen and paper, yes. Pen and paper… expressing your love for a potential partner? Or do you remember when you would hopelessly and time consumingly try and do a mixtape of songs for your crush? Ah, the good old days.
Now, you will be lucky if you get even a phone call from your current partner.
