Toddler makes history as the youngest male artist

A toddler was recognised by Guinness World Records for his painting talent.
At an age where most toddlers are still learning to walk steadily and pronounce “banana” correctly, one little boy from Ghana has already made history in the art world.
Meet Ace-Liam Ankrah; the child once recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest male artist.
Ace-Liam began painting at just six months old after his mother, visual artist and interior decorator Chantelle Eghan, introduced him to a canvas and paint in December 2022.
Instead of crawling away from the mess, he crawled straight into history.
According to his story shared by Guinness World Records, Ace-Liam completed his very first painting, titled The Crawl, in just 20 minutes. What started as a playful experiment quickly turned into a passion.

His mother explained that he spent a lot of time in the studio watching her work, and over time, painting became one of his favourite activities.
Some adults still can’t paint a decent stickman, so this kid is already operating on legendary levels.
As his collection of artwork grew, so did the public interest.
In December 2023, Ace-Liam showcased 10 paintings at an exhibition in Ghana, where nine pieces were sold within just three days. The overwhelming response helped cement his growing reputation as a young creative force with fans around the world.
Soon after, Guinness World Records officially recognised him as the youngest male artist at the age of 1 year and 152 days.
His mother described receiving the certificate as an emotional and proud moment for the entire family and team who worked behind the scenes to ensure all the record requirements were met.
Ace-Liam’s creative process is exactly as adorable as you’d imagine.
When arriving at the studio, he chooses his own canvas, colours and brushes before putting on his overalls and getting to work. His favourite colours are green and pink, and he enjoys blending acrylic paint using the palms of his hands.
Once he’s happy with the result, he proudly announces: “Finished.”
Then comes the reward every hardworking artist deserves, a warm bottle of milk.
The young artist’s talent has even caught the attention of high-profile figures in Ghana.
According to the family, Ghana’s former First Lady commissioned a custom painting after visiting one of his exhibitions. She loved the artwork so much that she reportedly bought two more pieces.

Ace-Liam’s fame continued to grow when he appeared in Guinness World Records 2026 as the hero of his own comic-book strip illustrated by Debbie Tung.
Although his record has since been surpassed by John Christian Caldeira Weibull, Ace-Liam’s story continues to inspire people around the world.
Because whether you’re one year old or 101, creativity has no age limit.
