KZN shares a collective warm embrace over emotional moment on-air
Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
It is not every day that a stranger's story can bring people together.
Our hearts all collectively broke into pieces when KZN listener Sheri from Howick was on the show for what Stacey and J Sbu thought would have been just another fun competition giveaway moment.
Stacey and J Sbu put a call out on the show, asking listeners to share their stories as to what an extra R2,500 would mean to them should they win it.
Sheri, battling the tears, took to the air and shared tearfully how she had just been retrenched and that the money had come in at such a crucial time for her.
Immediately after the on-air moment of Stacey and J Sbu congratulating Sheri for walking away with the money and offering her words of encouragement, the team was contacted by a Durban recruiter.
Nicola got in contact with the show and exclaimed:
I was just in the car, driving from work when I heard Sheri on the line. I knew I had to get in contact with you guys. My heart just broke for Sheri and her story, I think many people can relate with her. A lot of people are going through really tough financial times.- Nicola
Nicola joined Stacey and J Sbu on-air to share welcomed news of a possible job opportunity for the Howick-based listener.
Such a beautiful, emotional, powerful moment.
Stacey and J Sbu will keep KZN updated as to how Sheri's job interview goes.
