Neil Green considers himself a lover of slow dancing, but to him, it doesn't seem like it's even a thing anymore. He recently asked KZN to share their thoughts.

Is slow dancing a thing of the past? Is the ritual of asking for a dance lost forever? That was my question to the listeners of KZN this past Sunday.
As the years have gone by, I haven't been to a proper dance party or club situation in over seven years, so I wasn't quite sure what the young people are into - hence I put the question out to get their thoughts.

In my day (not that I'm old or anything), but I had to go out to a dance or a club to meet a person to hang with. Generally, there was music around and I remember having to time my moves and techniques perfectly to suit the slow, smooth rhythm of the slow songs' beats.
Slow songs and slow dancing were an opportunity to get up close and personal with the person you fancied, and it was quite the experience plucking up the courage to ask a girl to dance.
Out of all the slow songs I've danced to in my lifetime thus far, here are my top five:
Alphaville - 'Forever Young'
Donny Hathaway - 'You Were Meant For Me'
Aaron Neville feat Chaka Khan- 'Lets Stay Together'
Coldplay - 'The Scientist'
Daniel Caesar feat. H.E.R - 'Best Part'
