Local blogger challenges all malls to update parking signage to include dads
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
"We want to be included and thought about. #IncludeDads is here to raise awareness about something that has previously been overlooked." - Don Dinnematin.
Joining Jane is Don Dinnematin: The Don Father talking about changing the way shopping malls cater for moms, dads and kiddies parking bays.
'The Don Father' is a proudly South African dad and blogger who has created the campaign #InclueDads, an initiative that aims to get mall parking lot signage to include fathers, because dads are involved too.
His blogs focus on his cute family, wife Milly and daughter Gia, and has been around since 2016 with a strong following.

Don is pushing to have dads included in parking bay signage at shopping centres so when he goes shopping with his daughter he gets the same treatment - a designated parking space, which is usually a mom and tot type of set up.
One of his firm supporters is Mark Pilgrim (TV Presenter / Radio DJ / Speaker), who had this to say about the initiative: "Great initiative! I proudly support the #IncludeDads initiative and would like to see this change."
I love how Don is so passionate about dads being included in what would ordinarily be deemed as a woman's space when it comes to motherhood.

So far, Hillcrest Corner has joined the movement, issuing this statement:
As Hillcrest Corner we pride ourselves on our pay off line, this being ‘We’re Family’, so when we were approached and asked to join the #IncludeDads initiative, we couldn’t help but get involved! We believe in progressing with society and we know that Dads are just as involved in their children’s lives as Moms. We will be changing some of the Moms & Tots signage to include Dad’s, so that fathers can feel just as important!- Hill Crest Corner
I just love how vocal Don is about fatherhood and his approach is real and knocks the old adage of 'vrou se werk' out the park.
Love your work, Mr!
