Following the salmonella outbreak that's affecting Durban, Jane caught up with an individual who has been affected by the bacteria, and Consumerwatch's Wendy Knowler to get an update on the matter.

Eggs - that is the topic of conversation amongst many East Coasters this Friday following reports of a salmonella outbreak in the province. 

According to ECR Newswatch, a man has been hospitalised and others ill following salmonella food poisoning at a Umhlanga restaurant. Other cases have also been reported across the province. 

When Jennifer Harris of Hillcrest heard the news, she messaged Jane to share her story. She is currently undergoing treatment for salmonella poisoning in the Upper Highway area.

Of course, no case complete without an update from Consumerwatch dog, Wendy Knowler. In the podcast, Wendy provides an update on the cases in and around KZN. She also shares the comment she received from the South African Poultry Association on the matter.
