Ed Sheeran's bicycle accident leaves him unable to perform
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
We've grown used to artists cancelling their concerts for various reasons, but everyone's favourite ginger has fractured both his arms and his fans are shattered.
I often wonder how stressful it must be being an A-list performer and out of nowhere being hit with a tummy bug while on tour, let alone getting into a serious accident. What happens then?! I remember when Sir Elton John was in South Africa a few years ago and minutes before he walked on stage, he was hooked up to a drip backstage.

Just before heading out on the Asian leg of his world tour, my favourite ginger, Ed Sheeran, was knocked by a car while riding his bike. After consulting with his doctor, his marketing team took to social media to let fans know that he was unable to perform on the 15 scheduled tour dates.

I can imagine that going on tour with a broken arm can't be much fun, especially seeing as Ed and his guitar are so connected to each other.
Fans have been sending well wishes and much love to the beloved ginger. One fan even threatened to find who hit him with their car and run them over. Sho! You don't want to be the one who broke Ed's arm!
Some even added in some funny comments, which included some joking around with his lyrics.
This once again brings to light the whole mindset around motorists and cyclists on road. We need to be wary that cyclists on our roads have rights too. Let's keep that in mind as we go about our lives on the road.
Much love to our songbird ginger. X
