Are these the coolest cloud formations ever?

Australia is SO lucky, as they are about to see one of the most beautiful cloud formations ever!

I'm sure at one stage or another you have found yourself staring up at the sky and making out the shapes that clouds make?

Australians are in for such a treat as the world's rarest cloud formation is on its way!

This insane sighting, that only a few people know about, happens once in a blue moon and is known as 'morning glory' - a term not usually used when talking about clouds!

The long white cloud tunnels look like the crafty work of a CGI team, but, nope, these are the real deal.

If you are in Oz, look up!

UPDATE: Higgins Storm Chasing have confirmed the roll clouds we saw this morning in Richmond QLD are #morninggloryclouds They said "Some cool morning glory clouds were observed over Northern QLD this morning. These clouds are very rare across the world, but happen annually over Northern QLD during this time of year. They usually differ themselves from the common roll cloud by occurring in sets, and they are signify exactly where the warm air rises and cooler air sinks (warm air rises on the leading edge of the cloud and sinks on the trailing edge behind the cloud bank) - this makes them heavily sought after by hang gliders." #outbackqueensland #visitqueensland #thisisqueensland #exploreaustralia #discoveraustralia #cloudporn #skyporn #clouds #cloudchaser #cloudscape #sky #skylovers
