Abuse is something that should never be taken lightly. No matter how hard we wish that it never existed, it is something that occurs often in modern society.

However, what happens when you know abuse is happening to someone that you love and care about?
A 17-year-old wrote to Bongani and Mags, upset by something that was happening at home.
I’m 17-years-old and I know my mom’s boyfriend hits her quite often. She always has bruises on her arms, and the other night I actually heard them fighting upstairs and it ended with a thud. My mom insists he’s not hurting her, but I know she’s lying. Please help.- Anonymous
Knowing that the mom is lying, this 17-year-old is stuck between a rock and a hard place. The signs are all there and something needs to be done, right?
