Rory's hilarious humidity tips for Durbanites you can't live without
Updated | By East Coast Drive
Rory has been kind enough to share five amazing tips for beating the humidity in Durban this summer.
1. If your ears are pierced, remove your earrings and rather hang a kitchen sponge from each ear. Sponges are great at absorbing water and will attract and trap all the humidity around you before it reaches your face. Remember to replace sponges as soon as they start to drip on your shoulder.

2. If you are employed, quit your job and stay at home. Studies have shown that people who need to leave their houses and go outside are most affected by humidity.
3. After you’ve showered in the morning, spray a light coating of Q20 all over your body. Q20 is an excellent water repellent and will keep that humidity far away from you. Find it at your nearest hardware store.
4. Find a safe space in your home to make a small fire. The heat generated from the fire will dry the air and rid it of any humidity. Make sure you keep a window open so the humidity has somewhere to escape.

5. Find a job in Johannesburg and commute daily. There is very little humidity in Johannesburg and the airports are perfectly air-conditioned, too. Make sure you leave really early in the morning and arrive back in Durban very late in the evening to avoid the worst of it.
