Homeless man turns underpass into his own paradise

With two toilets, a bed, and even a jacuzzi, this homeless man is living the dream.
Ceola Waddell Jr, a 59-year-old homeless man, has lived under a road in Los Angeles for the past six months. Instead of being down in the dumps, he decided to take matters into his own hands and turned the situation around.

Ceola made himself a home on what he calls ‘Paradise Lane’. But this home is like no other of its type. His home boasts two toilets, a bed, and even a jacuzzi. To make a living, Ceola rents out a tent as a ‘spare room’ to other homeless citizens and sells hotdogs.

This is one man who refuses to let the stereotype of homelessness get to him. Instead he is trying to live like everyone else by living in a luxurious home on his very own ‘Paradise Lane’.
