Learner driver 'chomps down' to avoid fine
How far would you go to avoid getting a fine? This man may have taken things a bit too far...
The rules of the road are in place for a reason. They are to be followed to ensure that drivers and passengers are safe.
But not everyone obeys them, sadly, like this guy from China.

This guy had a run-in with the law for violating traffic rules - not having his vehicle inspected and for not having a learner's licence displayed on his vehicle. It is reported that he was still awaiting the official documentation after passing his driver's test.
When he got pulled over by a policeman at a toll station and was asked for his licence, in a flat panic, he snatched the documentation he had away from the officer and proceeded to eat it in an effort to avoid getting a fine.
Unfortunately for him, he was fined 400 yuan (over R700) and got demerit points against his name and will have to re-take his test again. Ouch!
