Bongani corrects entitled Drive listener

East Coast Drive received a call from a very entitled KZN listener claiming how annoying it is to have to constantly hear 'mispronunciations' of names such as Umhlanga and Amanzimtoti. Of course, Bongani had to respond and school the lady with a few facts.

On Wednesday, a woman called in to correct East Coast Radio presenters on the pronunciation of a few Zulu words. Well, more specifically, to correct our traffic reporters.
However, if you are going to correct someone, you may want to know what you are talking about in the first place. The caller was incredibly ignorant in this situation, and Bongani had no choice but to put her in her place.

We have eleven official languages in South Africa, and each one deserves the same amount of respect. With that said, we implore all of you to take the time to learn either a new language or simply how to correctly say a name or word that is used often in our country. It is only fair to your fellow South Africans, don't you think?
