When President Macron visited southern France to meet with restaurateurs, a stranger from the crowd emerged with a slap on his face. A similar incident happened in Ghana and we almost witnessed it in our country.
The French President Emmanuel Macron was slapped in the face on Tuesday by a man in a crowd while he was on a walkabout in France's Drome Region, the video was shared on Twitter .

The security entourage quickly intervened to pull the man to the ground and move Macron away from the assaulter. Two people were arrested in connection with this incident, broadcasters BFM TV and RMC radio reported.
What could have inspired the rage from this man? Service delivery, maybe? If that is the case, presidents everywhere should be alert as protests might escalate to a similar personal level.Â
The man could be heard shouting "A Bas La Macronie" ("Down with Macronia") before he delivered a slap to Macron's face.

This incident took place while Macron went to the Drome region in south-eastern France to visit restaurateurs and students to talk about how life is returning to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the video circulating on Twitter, one sees the French president reaching out his hand to greet one man, in a green t-shirt, with glasses and a face mask. This is when the man emerges from behind the metal barriers, where all the other fans stand cheering, and slaps Macron across the face.
