Sunny KZN weekend promises great surfing and fishing
The cold front has moved on and KZN is in for a sunny weekend. Vinesh Soogreem says beach conditions are looking great for surfing and fishing.
The cold front has finally moved on and KZN is set for a sunny and warm weekend. After a week of overcast weather, it could be the perfect time to get back to the beach.
Great conditions for surfing and fishing
The mornings should bring some of the cleanest conditions for surfers, making it a good weekend for both longboards and shortboards.
Fishing is also looking promising, with movement in the water expected to bring shad and rock fish closer to the action.
Sunday could be particularly good for anglers, with the third day of the northeasterly expected to bring plenty of fish activity throughout the day.
And if getting into the water isn't your thing, there's still plenty to enjoy. Vinesh says beachgoers can look forward to beautiful sunrises, warm weather, a walk on the sand or simply sitting with a coffee and watching the ships come in.

Meanwhile, in the latest Angler News South Africa, Vinesh Soogreem reports that shad are providing plenty of action along the KZN coastline, while the North Coast is producing good catches of garrick, kob, snoek and couta. Further south, anglers are finding garrick and tuna around Aliwal Shoal, while the Midlands is seeing promising trout and yellowfish activity. With calmer seas expected, Vinesh says the weekend is looking good for anglers across the province.
