Latheefa Moosa has been actively looking for employment since September 2018 - and it has been challenging.

She started off on a high, getting her CV and LinkedIn profile professionally done at a cost. She updated all her online profiles to reflect that she was open to new opportunities. She even contacted various recruitment agencies as well. However, as the days rolled into months, she became despondent and started losing hope. As a single mom of two, despondency is something she couldn't allow herself to succumb to, so she kept trying and her path led her to the #30SecondCV initiative to combat unemployment.

Her dream job is a combination of factors. Administratively, she is very strong and taking control is something she does naturally. She's a people person who is able to evolve into her role requirements. She's charming, wise, charismatic, intuitive, and mature. Latheefa has a strong admiration for people in power, particularly executives who are passionate about what they do and are involved in the sustainability of their businesses. She has a passion for learning. As an executive PA, she feels she is able to make a difference at an executive level.

While she is seeking employment, she also hopes to add value and play her part in the community.

"I believe that one should love what they do. The energy that you give off when you love what you do is beneficial to those around you as it’s contagious. In the last year, I started visiting my local old age home and children’s home. I really enjoy my time there. If I am to land this job, I’d liked to continue visiting and would like to get my colleagues involved. I’d like to get involved in my future company’s community outreach program. Collectively, we can do more and make more of a difference," she says.

If you want to get in touch to meet and interview her, then email [email protected], and we’ll put you in touch. Together we’ll help bring down the unemployment rate, one job at a time!
