The Springboks have coaches. They have analysts. They have former players, world-class professionals and, of course, Rassie Erasmus.

But do they have the most important ingredient needed to beat the All Blacks? Apparently not.

East Coast Breakfast opened the floor to the people who really know how to coach a rugby team: Couch Coaches.

Ahead of the Springboks' massive clash against the All Blacks, we asked listeners to share their advice for Rassie and the boys.

Some came prepared with genuine rugby knowledge. Others came prepared with... confidence.

Keep it simple, Coach

One Couch Coach believes the Springboks might be overthinking things.

“The plan is obvious. Catch the ball. Don't drop the ball. Run towards their side. I'm available if the coaching staff need me.”

You can't argue with that kind of tactical brilliance.

A winning formula

Another listener has apparently been waiting years to share this groundbreaking strategy.

“My advice to Rassie is simple: score more points than the All Blacks. I've been saying this for years.”

Somebody get this person a headset and a seat in the coaches' box immediately.

Now we're talking rugby

Not everyone was joking around, though. One Couch Coach came armed with a genuinely solid game plan.

“We need to dominate the first 20 minutes. The All Blacks thrive when you give them momentum, so physicality from the first whistle is non-negotiable.”

Okay, okay. Someone's been doing their homework.

Backing the team... literally

And finally, one listener is firmly behind her husband's rugby analysis.

Whether she understands it or not.

“My husband says we need to win the breakdown. I don't know what that means, but I'm backing him.”

So, Rassie, if you're reading this, the game plan is clear: catch the ball, don't drop it, dominate early, win the breakdown and, most importantly, score more points than the All Blacks.

You're welcome.
