Keri's Wellness Wednesday: Mo treatment in Movember

Movember has begun, and men all over the world woke up this morning clean shaven - here's how to take care of that sensitive skin...

Anyone who has shaved a sensitive area can attest to the fact that it can feel pretty 'rough' pretty soon... "like you've just walked through a sandstorm." said my boyfriend. And on day 2/3 the itch begins as ingrown hairs start to do their thing.

Because I don't shave my moustache but my partner recommends these:

Homemade facial exfoliator.

Removing the dead skin cells while exfoliating your face will leave your skin feeling much softer and so smooth. This recipe can be easily made at home in just 5mins, and the scrub can be used once or twice a week.

All you need is:

2 tablespoons ground oatmeal (Jungle Oats has an oatmeal on the shelves).

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon water (try and use 'good' water, remember you are putting this on your skin.

1/2 teaspoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon honey

Place all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir properly until they form a paste. The thickness and consistency of the paste can be adjusted by adding a little more water.

Apply to your face with your fingertips and rub it around gently using a circular motion. Take the time to enjoy this, give your face a little massage if you have the time....

When you are ready to rinse your face, do so with warm water (not hot) and gently pat dry with a clean towel.

After shave cream:
