Old age home residents and occupants of a block of flats were among people who were evacuated in parts of KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday after heavy rainfall caused localised flooding. Disaster management teams and emergency services officials are on high alert, and a South African Weather Service (SAWS) Level 10 warning remains in effect.

The Driving Licence Card Account (DLCA) expects to clear the card printing backlog by the end of June 2022 — two months earlier than Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula had promised.

Tiger Woods has withdrew from the 2022 PGA Championship after struggling in his third round, carding his career-worst score at the event. His injuries and the fatigue of playing 36 holes appeared to catch up with the 46-year-old on Saturday in cool and windy conditions.

A topless woman crashed Cannes Film Festival to protest against sexual violence in Ukraine. The protester stripped off a gown to reveal the words "stop raping us" painted on her body, along with the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

Genius Brands International and POW! Entertainment have signed a 20-year deal with Marvel to licence the name and likeness of Stan Lee. Stan was famous for his cameos and now CGI footage of him will also be included in future movies after his death in 2018.
