Happy weekend! If you missed the stories we shared from the week that were headlining different news or social media platforms, we have arranged a little recap for you with the most important from these.
We start with the amazing and much awaited news for our Durban beach lovers.

After being closed for a couple of months, three beaches in Durban will be reopened today following an immense improvement in their E. coli bacteria. So if you are looking to enjoy some downtime on the beach even in this gloomy weather, you can head to Addington, South or Ushaka beach.

If you have a heap of Woolies bags in your house which keep piling up because you forget them, stress not. They are aware of how they are easily forgettable but want to continue the essence of why they created them in the first place.
They are now collecting these in-store reusable fabric bags and converting them into shipping pallets, but only in Cape Town for now.
They had introduced the reusable bags in 2018 in an attempt to eradicate plastic bags. So, if you have way to many, look forward to bringing them back for the betterment of the environment.
And more space in your house or boot!

Good news for travellers and in particular those who love island life.
FlySafair announced their fares for the route between Johannesburg and Mauritius to be among the cheapest in the world currently.
The route will be operational on 11 December 2021.

On Wednesday, there was a robbery at the Gateway Mall.
A jewellery shop in Gateway was robbed.
Gateway Security teams responded immediately to the scene. One of their security guards was injured and attended to by paramedics.
Gateway Theatre of Shopping says police are trying to track down a gang of 10 robbers that hit a jewellery store at the Umhlanga mall on Wednesday.

As you can see the weather is gloomy and it has rained endlessly for the past three day or so.
It was shared that disaster management teams are on high alert as heavy rains could lead to localised flooding in certain parts of KwaZulu-Natal. According to the weather warning issued by the South African Weather Service, the inclement weather conditions are expected to last until yesterday. It might not be so bad today but stay alert.
Do make sure to stay safe today as well though.
