Do's and don'ts for the perfect secret Santa gift

It's that time of the year again where getting a gift for coworkers is tricky. You want to get something which ticks all the right boxes and something they would actually like. But it is far from easy.

Not only do you have to worry about buying for coworkers, but for family members too. The price of the gift is always an issue - even though they say 'never put a price tag on a gift', in these hard times, you have to.

Courtesy of Cosmopolitan online, we designed our very own list of ideas/tips for getting a gift:

1. Something Fun and Functional - this can be different shapes/characters of USBs or phone chargers.

2. Something with a personal touch - personalising a gift is always a good start, such as mugs, pillows or even clothing.

3. Something out of the ordinary - like a box full of adventure and inspiration, fill it with a list of fun things he/she should do with their family to make the holidays more festive.

4. Something for TLC - everyone loves pampering themselves, little manicure sets and shaving kits are a fab idea.

5. Something sentimental - Everyone loves it when you gift them something which means the world to them. This can be anything from a picture frame of a beautiful captured moment, to a simple spa day. It all depends on what means the most to your secret Santa.

6. Something for the desk - individuals love creating their working space as their own, desk decor such as mouse pads or cute note stick holders is a good way to start.

7. Something to read - you will never go wrong with a good book written by your secret Santa's favourite author.

9. Something sweet - you will never go wrong with a box of chocolates or home made goodness.

10. Something for a head start - diaries, calendars, and to-do-pads are great ideas for those go-getters!

This is our Christmas gift to you to help you pick the ideal gift for your Secret Santa!
