Did Khuli Chana really get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
Khuli Chana’s Hollywood Star: Has he genuinely reached legendary status or was it just a fancy photo op?
It’s been a chaotic weekend in South Africa.
Travis Scott arrived fashionably (and frustratingly) two hours late for his FNB Stadium show in front of 70,000 fans - and performed “FEIN” five times.
Enhle Mbali and Black Coffee also wrapped up their long-running divorce saga… and then (out of nowhere) Khuli Chana supposedly bagged a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Wait… Khuli Chana? A star? In Hollywood? Before Black Coffee? Before TYLA? Before Beyoncé or Justin Bieber?
Hmmm…
On 10 October, Khuli shared a carousel of images from his trip to Los Angeles. One snap in particular broke the internet: him standing proudly next to a gleaming Hollywood star with his name on it.
Social media erupted with congratulations, shock and people frantically Googling, “Who is Khuli Chana?”
Most were trying to figure out how someone who’s been musically MIA for a while just jumped straight to Hollywood royalty.
Well, plot twist… turns out, he didn’t actually get a star on the Walk of Fame.
According to an X user who’s essentially “been there, done that”, anyone can stroll down to Hollywood Boulevard, drop some dollars, and have their name placed on a temporary star.

If you look closely enough, you’ll notice that it’s the exact same star. Same tile. Same vibe. Different name. Coincidence? We think not.
Even though this was more “photo op” than “prestige award”, it sparked an incredible wave of support and nostalgia.
Khuli Chana may not have an official star, but the love he got proves one thing; his influence in South African music is still very much alive.
Legend status? Secure.
