Say what? Couple divorce after just three minutes of marriage

This has to be the shortest marriage ever! You won't believe what the groom said to upset the bride...
A couple in Kuwait is making headlines after filing for divorce three minutes after saying 'I Do'.
The story initially went viral in 2019 but continues to grab attention years later because of its shocking nature. According to several reports, the fed-up bride did not take too kindly to being mocked by her new husband.
The woman allegedly tripped and fell as they were walking out of the courthouse. This led to the groom calling her "stupid".
This angered the bride, who couldn't believe that he would call her such an ugly word, and on her wedding day, nogal. She promptly headed back to the courtroom and asked for an annulment.
Her request was granted!

Shortest Marriages
Many social media users agreed with the bride's decision, with some saying that it was a clear case of verbal abuse.
The Kuwaiti bride is not the only person to end a relationship before the ink had dried on the marriage certificate.
Britney Spears was married to her childhood friend Jason Alexander for just 55 hours. According to the then 22-year-old, she was "just honestly very drunk" when they walked into a Las Vegas chapel to tie the knot in 2004.
"As a twentysomething will do after a few drinks, I wound up in bed with one of my friends — a childhood friend who I’ve known forever. People have asked me if I loved him. To be clear: he and I were not in love. I was just honestly very drunk — and probably in a more general sense at the time in my life, very bored," she wrote in her memoir, 'The Woman in Me'.
Even more bizarrely, Jason crashed Britney's wedding to Sam Asghari in 2022. He was arrested after shamelessly going live on Instagram to show the whole thing! Thankfully, Britney did not come into contact with Jason. However, her marriage to Sam was also short-lived.
Their marriage lasted 14 months before they went their separate ways.

Movie star Nicolas Cage also had one of the shortest celebrity marriages in history. The 'Gone In 60 Seconds' actor filed for an annulment four days after his Las Vegas wedding.
Despite their very short marriages, neither Britney nor Nicolas holds the record for the shortest Hollywood marriage.
According to the Guinness World Records, that title goes to Rudolph Valentino and Jean Acker. Their 1919 nuptials lasted just 20 minutes!
Jean reportedly locked him out of their honeymoon suite, and after 20 minutes of knocking, he decided to go home. The couple, who had been dating for two months before tying the knot, did not consummate their marriage.
However, it took a few years for the divorce to be finalised. Rudolph was arrested for bigamy in 1922 for marrying another woman in Mexico.
According to reports, Jean sued him for the legal right to be called Mrs Rudolph Valentino. Despite the drama, the former lovers put their differences aside and rekindled their friendship, which lasted until the day Rudolph died in 1926.
