Discover South Africa’s top 8 richest billionaires in 2026, their global rankings, and jaw-dropping net worths according to Forbes.
Billionaires. The people who casually check their bank balances without blinking. The rest of us check ours like we’re watching a horror movie!
Let’s just put it into perspective for a second.
One million seconds is roughly 11.5 days (so let’s say 12).
One billion seconds is roughly 31 YEARS! Yep - that’s how much a billion equates to in seconds.
So when we say “billionaire,” we’re not just talking about “a lot of money”, we’re talking lifetime-level money. If you spent R86,400 a day, it would take you 31 years to finish a billion.
