A 15-year-old girl is believed to have abducted her three-day-old baby from an Australian hospital with the help of her 14-year-old boyfriend.

The teenage parents reportedly believed that their daughter, Aria Jayde Tanya, would be taken away from them, and decided to sneak her out of Nepean Hospital in Penrith, Sydney, underneath a blanket.

Police say Jenifer Morrison and Jayden Lavender left without permission, and they need the mother and child to return to the hospital to complete their medical care.

The pair were allegedly helped by an adult male, who was seen leaving with them on CCTV footage.

In the days after Aria’s birth, her proud parents posted several pictures of their baby girl on social media.

The child’s grandparents also shared their excitement on Facebook.

‘My Pride and Joy ... My Grand Daughter. I love you more then words. Can explain your perfect in every way,’ the grandmother wrote.

Police say the teens are not in trouble, and they are only concerned for their well-being.

“To Jenifer and Jayden, the two parents, you're not in trouble. We'd just really appreciate if you could go to the hospital and check out to see if you're alright. The doctors still need to see your baby and make sure it's progressing nicely,” Penrith detective inspector Grant Healey said during a briefing on Thursday.
