According to On Air With Ryan Seacrest, it's called 'Day2 Dry Wash', and it's basically an aerosol can that you spray onto your clothes to freshen them and make them smell as if your dirty clothes just had a wash.

Their website describes the product as "a smarter laundry solution that gives clothes a second life, and looks out for the planet whilst doing it".

It is reported that the product was designed for the busy millennial who has days when they don't feel like doing their laundry. But would you use it?

Some websites cite that you should not wash your clothes regularly as you shorten their lifespan. But what about the bacteria that settles on dirty clothes, especially during summer? Urgh!

The team at Pop Sugar have put together a general guide on how many times you can wear items of clothing before throwing them in the wash:

  • Bras: After three to four wears
  • Underwear: After every wear
  • Socks: After every wear
  • Jeans: Five to six wears. Some say you shouldn't wash them at all
  • Dresses: One to two wears
  • Pants, skirts, and shorts: Three to four wears
  • PJs: Three to four wears

Back to the spray - I would give it the thumbs down. There’s just no way I’d be able to wear something that’s already dirty. Just knowing that it hasn't gone through a wash would kill me.
