Being a parent is a huge responsibility. There are peaks and lows throughout the experience but as cliché and superficial as it may sound, it really is all about handling each moment with love in the centre of it all.

When you bring in the love, then somehow everything else falls into place. Whether that is during a moment of discipline or sharing advice or asking those important questions.

The thing is that not all parents become parents in the conventional way. Some are adoptive parents, some become parents or guardians because of tragedy, so every path is different.

And there is this stereotypical view of step-parents and their relationships with their step-children. It isn't always painted in the best light and for that reason, this story captured our hearts even more. It shows a step-father making a grand gesture for his step-daughters in the most special way.

P.S. Keep the tissues close...

The pure emotion that can be seen in this video shows what type of relationship he has earned with these girls. This is truly something that we all need to see more of when it comes to breaking the stereotype.

It can literally change the world, the respect, the honour, and the emotion that he brings to his speech in asking them to make their bond official. We love this for them and we really appreciate the sentiment and respect that he displays. It truly shows how everyone is different and each parent is unique.

He is definitely our father crush of the week. If you are part of a blended family, please share your story with us. We would love to see and share more of this kind of love.
