WATCH: A mother takes the time to talk to her son about being bullied...

Facing the mental and physical detriment of being bullied as a child is one thing, but seeing your child go through it and feeling heartbroken is a whole other thing...

This mother shared a video of her son talking about his experience with bullies at school. It's certainly sad to watch him struggle to understand 'why' they are doing this, but it's also inspiring to see this mother starting with communication.

One of the key takeaways from what he says in the video for us was: 

"I do nothing to bother them and they go out of their way to bother me." 

Now being a kid is not easy! Kids also have issues based on their own experiences and then take it out on others. It's definitely a battlefield for children...

Many people came to the post commenting in support of this young man. Perhaps even drawing from their own experiences. 

And as we have seen so often, most of the time a bully is just someone who has been bullied and is trying to exert their sense of power and control. So we think it wise that this mother, Rose Valenciia, shared this video and also the advice that it does start with parents. 

We have the power to help our kids, to stop it moving on to someone else. If you don't know how then seek help, there are counselors and therapists who can help with bullying and how to manage it with your kids.
