Tyla set to voice 'Inflatable Flamingo' in 'Toy Story 5'

What the heck!? Tyla has been manifesting this Disney role since 2023, and we have the tweet to prove it!

South African singer Tyla has shared some exciting 'Toy Story 5' news with fans.

The 24-year-old will voice a new character, the Inflatable Flamingo, in the Sub-Saharan version of the upcoming Disney and Pixar film.

'Toy Story 5 is coming to cinemas on the 19th of June. Go and watch with your whole family because your girl Tyla is in the movie as the Inflatable Flamingo," she said in a video shared on Disney Africa's Instagram page.

Tyla says she grew up watching the popular animated film and can't believe she is now part of the Disney family.

"It's such a big movie in my family. My parents love it, my whole family loves it. We all love going to the cinema and watching every new one.

So the fact that now we get to watch it and hear a little bit of my voice in it is insane."

This is not Tyla's first time venturing into animation.

She recorded a song, 'Everything Goes With Blue', for the 2025 'Smurfs' movie soundtrack, which also featured Rihanna and Cardi B.

In a surprise twist, Tyla has been manifesting this Disney role for years.

The 2x Grammy-winner tweeted in 2023: "Disney, hmu [hit me up] when you free." She added: "I jus wanna be a princessssss."

She might not be playing a princess, but an inflatable pool toy is the next best thing. The 'Chanel' hitmaker has one foot in the castle, and we see a crown in her future.

Tyla's fans can't wait to hear her voice on the big screen.

"That flamingo better be saying, 'What the heck?!'" one fan teased. Another Tyla fan commented: "Can't miss anything with TYLA."

'Toy Story 5' is one of the most anticipated family movies of 2026.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprise their voice roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Joan Cusack (Jessie), Tony Hale (Forky) and Wallace Shawn (Rex) are also back.

Several new characters will also be introduced, including Lilypad' Lily', which is voiced by Greta Lee.

Music superstar Taylor Swift has also released an original song for the film, 'I Knew It, I Knew You'.

Swifties are still holding out hope that she could make a surprise appearance, voicing one of the movie's new characters.

'Toy Story 5' will be released in South African cinemas on Friday, June 19.
