Parents, have you heard about the 'Geleza' scientific calculator brand?

As we ease into our mornings and recover from the back to school traffic and madness, we learn about an innovative calculator brand that has all the makings of greatness- and it's a local brand!

Working with children and igniting their passion for numbers was what started off this amazing journey for the brand creator of Geleza, the affordable scientific calculator.

"Mathematician, Mothupi Kgopa realised just how difficult it was for them to afford scientific calculators. Kgoga, who started the Kgopa Foundation for Mathematics in 2017 to help learners at home, decided to remedy this situation by launching his own affordable scientific calculator brand – Geleza." He had promised his students calculators and found that for a single scientific calculator he had to pay around R320. This drove him to do some research, which resulted in him launching Geleza in 2021, under his education company, Geleza Tech.

Kgopa's five to ten year plan includes manufacturing calculators for the African continent. The Geleza calculator retails at R150 and can be ordered online. You can order yours here.
