Carol Ofori shares some of her go-to activities to keep her kids entertained during the holidays.

If you haven't heard, 'I'm bored' yet, then maybe your child is spending too much time on their screens.

Parents have to make a concerted effort to keep the kids busy and engaged during the holidays. While things may be busy for parents, for the kids, it's already been more than two weeks of no school.

That means thinking of ideas that will engage their senses while also having fun.

Carol has a few things up her sleeve when it comes to keeping her kids happy and busy.

Since her kids love arts and crafts, she buys them art supplies, from painting to building gizmos and gadgets. By getting a range of things, she can ensure that they will stay busy throughout the holidays.

Park walks and spending time outdoors are another must for Carol and her kids. Fresh air is an excellent boost for kids; it provides them with energy and helps them sleep better. Time outdoors also boosts their natural source of vitamin D, which helps strengthen their bones.

Playing board games and cards at home with the family is another great activity to keep the kids entertained.

Of course, while hours of screentime are not recommended, sharing a family movie with a large bowl of popcorn and guaranteed bonding is another favourite in the Ofori household.
