#AppreciationMonday: It seems we have the biggest catch of them all... our KZN family

There's no doubt that as a family we sometimes get blown away at how awesome you all are. Sometimes we just forget those special qualities of our loved ones because we are around them so often. 

It's part of life. But all of you, our ECR Family, you always surprise us, and always in the most unexpected of ways. We knew that we formed part of a fishing community, after all we are coastal people.

But little did we know the extent of the love for the sport and also the humour that many of you bring to this large family. When we asked you last week to show us your biggest catches, we didn't expect the turn out. 

We're not complaining, we were pleased, excited and filled with joy when we saw all your pics. That is why we decided to put together this article, as a way of saying thank you and also as a way of dedicating something to each and every one of you that took the time to share your photos, your comments, and your love with us.

Of course, we wish we could include all your pics and comments here, but that would take hours, if not a day or two. All we can truly say is that it amazed us at how passionate so many people in KZN are about this sport. 

And also how passionate and witty many of our couples are, those that took the opportunity to shout out to their 'biggest catches' in quotation marks, because we love how you associated your partners to the fish in the sea euphemism. Love, love, loved it. 

And to those of you who have lost loved ones and were able to find the courage to share your pics and comments with us, we hope that you and your families can find some light amidst your losses. 

If anything, this post reminded us that as a province, as a country, we can all find similarities with each other. We are united in some way, sometimes at first glance we are unable to see it, but when we look closely, it's there...
